Now that you have submitted your course to the Curriculum Committee it is time to begin putting together the course. A class Web site will be the focal point of your online course. You will need to build a Web presence that provides utility to your students.
There are several ways to acheive this....
- WebCT
- Cuesta has entered into a license agreement with WebCT to provide the online class management software for our faculty to use to develop online classes. To get more information about college resources available through WebCT, or to set up a development account, you can contact Dr. David Dowell (e-mail: ddowell@cuesta.edu ext. 3159). For assistance with using WebCT contact Computer Services (ext. 3248).
- Build Your Own
- If you are proficient with the use of HTML or HTML Editors (i.e., Front Page, DreamWeaver, etc.) you can build your own Web site and then upload the pages to the Cuesta Web server.
- Textbook Publishers
- Many textbook publishers provide Web services. This might include courseware packages and instructor manuals in the WebCT, Blackboard class management systems. Some also provide the textbook contents in electronic forms.
